Terms of Service

Last updated: August 15, 2026

1. What karaoki is

karaoki (“the Service”) is an educational vocal practice utility. It generates an instrumental backing track and word-synced lyrics for a song you choose, so you can practice singing along. The Service is provided for personal, non-commercial, educational practice use.

2. Acceptance & eligibility

By using karaoki you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you confirm you have permission from a parent or guardian.

3. Your responsibilities

  • Only process tracks you have the right to use for personal practice. Do not use the Service to reproduce, distribute, or publicly perform copyrighted music in ways that infringe the rights of others.
  • Do not use the Service to build, share, sell, or redistribute karaoke files, stems, or lyric exports as a product or service.
  • Do not misuse the Service: no automated scraping, attempts to disrupt the platform, reverse-engineering of its systems, or circumvention of any access controls.
  • Be responsible for your own conduct and content in rooms (display names, queue choices, voice).

4. Intellectual property

The Service and its software are owned by karaoki. Songs, recordings, artwork, and lyrics remain the property of their respective owners — karaoki does not claim ownership of the music processed through the Service, and processing a track does not transfer any rights to you beyond personal practice use.

If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, please see our DMCA / Copyright Policy and contact us at karaokiapp@gmail.com.

5. Acceptable use of processed audio

The instrumental stems and synced lyrics produced by the Service are generated for your practice session. Practice privately, sing with friends in a room, or record your own voice over the track for personal rehearsal. You may not republish, license, or monetize processed audio or lyric data, and you may not re-upload the Service's generated files to public platforms as if they were your own recordings.

6. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied (including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement). We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that processed output (including lyric timings and instrumental quality) will be perfect.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, karaoki shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data or profits, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (if any).

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service, in whole or in part, for conduct we reasonably believe violates these Terms or applicable law — including repeat copyright infringement. Room sessions expire automatically when they are empty for a period of time.

9. Changes & contact

We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Questions about these Terms? Email karaokiapp@gmail.com.
